The Bath and North East Somerset venues will open in September for Heritage Open Days (9-18 September).

The national celebration of history and culture is a chance to see hidden places and try new experiences – all for free.

Councilor Kevin Guy, Leader of Bath & North East Somerset Council, said: ‘Heritage Open Days are a great opportunity to explore the history and heritage on your doorstep and discover new places. There’s something for everyone, whether it’s swimming in the newly restored Cleveland Pools, viewing Victorian spa amenities at the Lansdown Local History Center, enjoying an afternoon of gala in the Sydney Gardens, explore the new Clore Roman Baths Learning Center or take a walk in the theatre. around Keynsham. There are events taking place throughout the region, with something for all ages and interests:

  • Explore the weird and wonderful objects in Local History Center – Lansdownfrom Victoria spa equipment to Georgian furniture
  • Go for a swim in the newly restored pool Cleveland Poolsdiscover the history of the site and take part in a fun trail for children
  • Enjoy an afternoon of family fun, music, color and spectacle to celebrate the opening of the Sydney Gardens Restoration project
  • Take a tour of the newly opened Clore Roman Baths Learning Centerwith its exciting underground investigation area
  • Visit Bath and North East Somerset Council Recycling center at Ashmead RoadKeynsham, and learn about the recycling process and the vehicles
