Urban planning and design consultancy nineteen47 is expanding with the opening of a new office in Sheffield, led by planning consultant Clare Plant.

She joins nineteen47 with a wealth of experience in cross-sector town planning, most recently as a director acting for public and private sector clients in Yorkshire and the North of England.

The Sheffield office, located in Acero in the city centre, builds on existing bases in York and Nottingham, from which clients are advised on planning and urban design.

nineteen47 also offers specialized services to the development sector, including 3D images, flyovers and virtual reality.

Plant said, “nineteen47 is quickly establishing itself as the most innovative planning and urban design consultancy in the north.

“I am delighted to have the opportunity to establish the Sheffield office and continue the well-managed expansion of the award-winning business.”

Founding director of nineteen47, Jamie Pyper, added: “We are absolutely delighted to welcome Clare to the team and to open an office in Sheffield which is buzzing with growth in the planning and development sectors.

“Clare’s appointment also follows the promotion of Rebecca Beardsley to Senior Urban Planner, Emma Allard to Senior Urban Designer and Ellie Squiers to Urban Designer, during what has been a successful year for the company, despite the challenges of 2020.”

Founded in 2015, nineteen47 provides planning, urban design and visualization services to a range of clients, working at sites across the country.

The company is now looking to recruit an experienced Senior Planner or Associate for its York office.
