The Adventist Men’s Organization, Eastern Nigeria Conference of the Seven-Day Adventist Church has awarded Excellence Awards to the Gbenemene of the Kingdom of Tai, King GNK Giniwa and other important dignitaries from the ‘State.
Other dignitaries are: former Director of Finance and Administration, Rivers State Newspaper Corporation, Mr. Job Urang; the Honorable Justice Teetito, Senator Magnus Abe; and Senator Olaka Nwogu.
Mr. Gideon Koba, Senator Bari Mpigi, Ambassador Oji Ngofa and others were also honoured.
In his welcoming address at the ceremony held at the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Nchia, Eleme, director of the Adventist Men’s Organization, Elder Phillip Ulogwarama, said the event was to recognize those who have contributed to the development of humanity in their chosen fields. effort.
“Today we wish to honor and pray for all of you who have contributed positively in various spheres of life, impacting humanity.
“The Adventist Men’s Organization is a partner in societal progress. The political class, traditional rulers, scholars, philanthropists, business magnates, religious leaders and promoters of peace are all instruments to save humanity from the bondage of evil.
“I know that the thought I have for you is the thought of good and not of evil, to give you an expected end, says the lord.
“The Lord has remembered you. We also remembered you. The only way to tell you to do more is to say thank you,” he said.
He said the event will continue to work hard to fulfill the Christmas mandate which focuses on evangelism.
Also speaking, the Treasurer of the Seventh-day Adventist Church of the Eastern Nigeria Union Conference, Elder Emmanuel George Manilla, said the event was an attempt to bring the church closer to the people.
Noting that the event was the first of its kind in the district, Rivers East Conference President Pastor Joyful Norbana said the ceremony will “keep leaders on their toes to do good for mankind,” noting the need for leaders to put the interests of their people first.
