As part of its comprehensive plan update, the City of Scriba is conducting a citizen survey from May 9-19 to gather residents’ feedback and opinions on the future development of the city. The theme of the survey is: Help shape the future of Scriba. Be heard. To be counted.

As part of its comprehensive plan update, the City of Scriba is conducting a citizen survey from May 9-19 to gather residents’ feedback and opinions on the future development of the city. The survey covers land use/zoning, energy, housing, economic development and recreation. It also provides multiple opportunities for participants to add their comments and opinions. Constellation Energy’s James A. Fitzpatrick Nuclear Facility, above, is located in the town of Scriba.

“We will send out a postcard with both a QR code and an online link to the survey and urge residents to take five minutes to complete it as soon as possible,” said Scriba Town Supervisor James Oldenburg. . “Several years ago, a similar survey helped create the Global Plan, and the responses from our citizens are critical. The overall plan is the culmination of a planning process that establishes formal land use policy for Scriba and sets goals and a vision that will guide managers in future decision-making. Hard copies of the survey will also be available at the Scriba Town Hall Clerk’s Office.

“The city of Scriba is blessed with a diversity of places to live, agriculture, technology and business development,” Oldenburg said. “You’ll find everything from nuclear and solar power to thriving family farms and large residential neighborhoods.”

The survey covers land use/zoning, energy, housing, economic development and recreation. It also provides multiple opportunities for participants to add their comments and opinions.

“We encourage as many Scriba residents, homeowners and business ventures to participate and complete or return the survey to us by May 19,” Oldenburg said. The link to the survey is: https://surveyking.com/w/TownofScribaComprehensivePlanCitizenSurvey
